After a 27 year hiatus as a corporate executive Bill Schereck has returned to performing, writing and recording music. Now he has just released his first album on Forum Records, A Texas State of Mind. The 12 original songs reflect a myriad of influences over the years from The Beatles & The Eagles to Brooks & Dunn, Jimmy Buffett & Toby Keith as well as Waylon & Willie and the new generation of Texas Outlaws.

The Roadie Song
- Written about the road crew on the 1974 Bachman Turner Overdrive tour. The original 1974 recording performed by Bill Schereck was released under the name the Road Crew on Mercury Records in January 1975: Radio and Records Magazine Pick of the Week; Billboard Magazine Bubbling Under Hot 100 for two weeks. In 1978, it was featured in the movie "Mag Wheels".
